The British Acupuncture Council is an Accredited Register of The Professional Standards Authority who provide parliamentary oversight of all medicine related registrars, such as the General Medical Council.
The British Acupuncture Council maintains the highest professional standards of practice for Acupuncture in the UK and accredits acupuncture education courses to ensure excelemce in training.
BAcC also funds and supports evidence based clinical research to promote acupuncture as a part of integrated health care.

The British Medical Acupuncture Society exists to stimulate and promote the use and scientific understanding of acupuncture within medicine for the public benefit. Members are regulated healthcare professionals who practice acupuncture within the scope of their professional practice.

Member, Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine
The Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ATCM) is one of the main self-regulatory bodies that govern the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the UK
At present over 700 professionally qualified TCM practitioners are registered with ATCM, adhering to a strict code of ethics and professional conduct.
The ATCM is actively engaged in academic study and ongoing research into the clinical application of Traditional Chinese Medicine
