Pear Tea

- to clear your head, and your respiratory system..

Ingredients;

2 Pears, roughly chopped or sliced including skin and core

1 Peel of an Orange

3cm of Root Ginger, sliced 

1 Parsnip, coarsely chopped, to enhance your immune system

Fresh mint leaves

To make

 1. Stew all except the mint in 2 litres of water, simmering covered for 45 mins

2. Strain off the tea and add a touch of mint.

3. Enjoy

Carrot & Ginger Soup with Cumin

The carrot, barley and cumin build your energy levels, warming your soul and relieving muscle aches and sensations of cold and dampness.

Ingredients

4 Medium size Carrots, 

30g Barley

1 tsp Ground Cumin, 

1 Cup (250ml) Orange Juice, 

1 tbsp Natural Yoghurt (optional)

To Make

  1. Mix chopped carrots, barley and ground cumin in 1/2 litre of water ++ orange juice 
  2. Bring to the boil and simmer until carrots and barley are tender
  3. Blend with a little natural yoghurt and garnish with coriander leaf.
